River Report 10/3/2017
Now that we have had some much cooler temps and even frost the rivers have responded. They have dropped in most cases 10 degrees or more in the last week. Even the big rivers like the Winooski are in the high 50’s or low 60’s! They were pushing 72-75 in late September. Below is a post from our guide John Synnott who is loving the cooler temps on the Winooski River.
The Pike are still active and they are putting as much food in their belly to make it through the long VT Winter. Had Ben from Trident Fly Fishing out on Sunday and we found a few…. photo above.
Have had some great learn to fly fish trips recently. We found some Smallmouth Bass and Fallfish to get folks introduced to the sport. Brady who is 8 was stoked to land this SMB!
On another trip with folks from Florida they were catching fish left and right. Doubles at one point!
Also the Lake Champlain LL Salmon are on the move and our guides and friends are taking advantage. Kevin Ramirez with a nice one from Sunday!
Book your self a trip for this Fall! (BC)
