For a few years now, I have had a fly case displayed at the Blackback Pub during the fishing season. These flies are for sale and they are the same flies that Stream and Brook flying fishing guides use to put clients onto fish. The content is mostly trout flies for fishing local waters.  At the end of the regular trout season, I usual grab the case for refilling over the winter and any money usually goes right into lunch and a couple brews.   In order to refill that case I have to tie a bunch of flies over the winter. So, On Wednesday January 16th, the Blackback Pub in Waterbury VT will be welcoming myself and a few other great fly tiers to there establishment for some fly tying demonstrations. We’ll be twisting up some of our favorite trout, pike and bass patterns while enjoying some of the best locally sourced food and beverage the Blackback Pub is famous for. This event is free, so stop in between 7:30 and 10 pm to sip and spectate, or  bring your own vise and join in.

Check out the food and extensive beer list that is ever changing with great seasonal brew that they source from only astones throw away.
