Who We Are : John Synnott, Guide, Instructor

June 2009

I have been guiding for 10 years now and each year I continue to learn new things. Whether it's a better way coach a novice or a new technique from an experienced anlger, I continue to grow. As Stream and Brook enjoys its continued success I have also been excited about the new faces coming on board. I had no idea VT was so loaded with knowledgable anglers but we are finding them and putting their knowledge to work for our clients. In the future I would like to see S&B as more of a coop model with all guides sharing in the ownership of the company and the company reaping the benefits of that level of commitment.

On the personal side. I have wrapped up my 12th year of teaching Middle School, my own boys are old enough to wade most rivers with me, and I think I have a legit shot at Tuna on the fly this summer.

OK, so it was a private pond.
