Who We Are
Stream and Brook is entering its 10th year of guiding and instructing
on the streams of Vermont. Our area has grown to cover most
of the water between Rt 4 and Burlington on both sides of the
Green Mountains. This gives us a huge amount of water to choose
from when planning a trip. Our greatest asset (aside from great
water) is our guides. We have guides that live and fish in all
corners of the watersheds we cover. This allows us to put you
with a guide that will be showing you his/her home waters.
Appropriately enough Foster and I met while fishing on the
Otter Creek. It turned out that we lived half a mile from each
other and were both hopelessly addicted to fly fishing. We were
soon exploring the waters up and down the Green Mountains. Since
then we have spent some great time exploring new waters in Vermont
and across the country.
In 2005 Brian Zinger came on board and brought with him some
much needed knowledge of the waters North and West of Burlington
as well as the Northeast Kingdom. Another asset Brian has brought
to Stream and Brook has been his tying abilities. Brian ties
some great local patterns that have proved invaluable. You can
see Brian's collection at Castaway
Flies .
Today we all continue to get out and fish together as much
as possible. We are gearing up for another great season on Vermont's
streams. Some of our exploration into new waters last year has
us really excited to get back out there this season. Rivers
like the Dog and the upper Lewis Creek gave up some beauties
that we are itching to get back to.
We are all really proud of the operation that we are building
Stream and Brook into and proud of what we have to offer our
clients. We look forward to showing you the waters of Vermont.
The rivers and streams we fish are not only great trout waters,
they are the Vermont most visitors to the state never get to
see.
