Jen Goodale

Hi I am Jen, and I have been fly fishing since the 3^rd grade. I got my first fishing rod when I was 3 years old and have been hooked ever since. I grew up in Weybridge VT and am living in Southern VT. New to southern VT, I am still exploring new waters either by foot or in my kayak throughout the year. My real passion is fly fishing for trout, but in the warmer months I do switch it up and target bass and other warm water species. I love top water action. I volunteer my time with Casting for Recovery and Hope on a Rise ( both cancer retreats for women). In 2011 I won the amateur division for the Otter Creek Classic Fly Fishing Tournament. It was the first year that I entered, I ended up being the first woman to win and to catch a fish ( I caught 2). When I am not fishing I am an X-ray / CT tech at two different hospitals around the state. I also work for Orvis as a guide and instructor at the fly fishing school in Manchester VT. I am an ambassador for Streem Outdoors and Predator Fly Gear.
