River conditions continue to be poor right now. We’ve been on a roller coaster of temps all this month. We’ll get a day or two of temps either side of 40 and then back down to the teens. Never enough time to open thing up much. The only place where there is moving moving water is Mostly below water falls, however access is only for the most experienced and one should not go alone.

We have been booking some trips for the 2019 regular season. When inquiring, many folks ask, when is the best time to fish trout in the spring. I believe between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. The water temps have finally got to the trouts optimal activity level around Mother’s Day and the first hatches that really draw them to the surface are occurring. After Father’s Day the fishing can still be great as long as we have precipitation now and then and the air temps don’t get to hot for days in a row.
