All of us at Stream and Brook want to wish everyone happy holidays. We hope you’ve been
well and enjoying family time. We wish you all the best in the new year.
We had another fantastic year of fly fishing in Vermont. We had the pleasure of spending the day on the water with folks of all ages and experience level. We met a bunch of locals looking to learn the sport as well as learn a new stretch of great fishing water. We gave people visiting Vermont, for a variety of reasons, a great way to see more of our beautiful state. We met so many people from around the world with the WhistlePig whiskey farm stay program.
We had a tough stretch in July due to a couple of big rain storms. Then precipitation became a little scarce for the remainder of the season. However, fishing in Vermont we have a very diverse range of opportunities. From the streams and brooks of the Green Mountains to the rivers that flow into Lake Champlain, we can always have a fun day.
As we move into 2025, we still have fishing opportunities as long as rivers don’t get locked down with ice. Fishing in the winter is a different ball game, but if done safely, it is a great way to get out of the house and extend your fishing season. Our guides get out quit a bite in cold weather, so they can show you the ropes.
