Casting for steel
Rivers are in good shape around the state. Due to some rain and melting snow yesterday, They may not have good clarity depending where you fish. this will be the trend thought the weekend as we have more rain/snow/slush until Monday.
It’s still winter in Vermont, water temps are in the high 30s – low 40s. However this rain and run off are perfect for spring spawners to make their move.
In the picture is a recent Lake Champlain run steelhead. 1st of the season. They are generally accessible in the river systems March-April. Give us a shout if you want to learn how to target this species.
